As her summer eyes revealed seas of stars over our heads,
She said to me: "just open your heart and the rest will flow".
A blanket of uncertainty has been with me for so long, yet
When I reach out to her, I am reminded of what matters most.

She taught me that time passes but it can bring us closer;
Love, like a star in the distance, becomes more insistent
The nearer we get, gently forming a bond for us to discover
(As our passion burns brighter in this world of persistence).

Summarize these emotions I know too well so I can understand
The magic of this ephemeral evening, as it has me reeling
In romantic motions that I haven't known since time began.
If all we need is love, then let us spend eternity feeling...

Feeling like this - living the dream that proves my existence:
Embracing the moment in which all emotions begin to listen...

is your heart open...as indicated in this beautiful piece of poetry :butterfly:

A beautiful defining moment of a couple's surrender to love. Your rhymes are as gentle and natural as the evening described seems. The paradoxes in this poem really make it for me. The idea of love being insistent, yet gentle; the transience of the evening together, yet an eternity of feeling. I had a lot of thoughts with this poem. What color do I think summer eyes would be: green; what matters most: the moment of love, even if it may end too soon. Overall, this poem is just amazing. You very well may have achieved your goal :)

ps: Will there be future audio versions for this, Fog of Yesterday and Any Other Girl?

Why, may I ask, do you think summer eyes would be green?

Grass is green, sometimes water in large quantities like lakes and oceans can look green. What color do you think summer eyes are?

Oh, I agreed with you from the get-go; I was just sincerely curious as to why you chose "green". =)

I'd say "summer eyes" could be anything that symbolizes summer for a certain someone, and "green" would surely be my first choice. I never thought about large quantities of water appearing green, but I did think about fields of grass, leaves, and trees; also, green is commonly thought of as a life-giving and energetic color, and the color of sincerity and earnestness, all of which I believe the summer season can portray quite plentifully.

You agree too easily. Actually from the poem I thought you meant blue because of the "seas of stars" reference. Maybe even brown if I stretch it far enough because star reflections would certainly be easier to see in deep brown eyes than any other color. I think I could apply any eye color with any season with the right words though. I always wished I had green eyes... a really bright, fierce green. Or maybe violet eyes, but I do like my blue. Actually I just wish I could change them anytime I felt like it, but I guess that would make it less special.
